This shows the layout of kate's search bar at end of file.
A few months ago I tried to redesign search and replace bars for this kind of problems not to happen, but it was only possible by increasing the height of the bars, which many people didn't like, and no action was taken. Here is my last message on that, with links to earlier discussions and final layout proposals: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kwrite-devel&m=121404203715399&w=2 So, if this bug is closed as WONTFIX, I guess you should just use a wider Kate window, and possibly make a wishlist report to German localization, to see if a shorter text in those messages can be arranged for. |
