Description George Kiagiadakis 2008-09-01 15:03:21 UTC
Version: 1.10.0 (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.1 (Debian 4.3.1-9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

This is with kmail from trunk svn r854573.

To reproduce:
1) Configure an IMAP account
2) Create a new IMAP folder and in the dialog that appears, set the folder to be able to hold only subfolders.
3) The new folder is created on the server and immediately disappears from kmail. However, I can see that folder on the server's hard drive and other applications are also able to see it.

This is tested with the dovecot imap server.

Updating the status of this bug:
The bug is still reproducable with kmail 1.11.2.
I also noted that the server needs to have mbox storage format, because maildir supports both mail and subfolders and thus kmail doesn't ask at all.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
