Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

Kopete doesn't allow me to use any other dictionary than the one corresponding to GUI language, co I can't run Kopete in en_GB and spell check in pl_PL for example. Annoying as other KDE components like kmail can do this without problems.

I confirm this problem with Kopete 0.60.1 (KDE 4.1.1).

And Kopete does not respect the language set in systemsettings.

This bug is similar to Konqueror bug #165161.

I confirm with 0.60.2, using KDE 4.1.2.

Kopete 0.70.0 (KDE 4.2.0) still has this bug.

This bug also exists under Suse 11.1 in Kopete 0.60.3 using KDE 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3)  "release 75.1"

This problem is fixed for me in Kopete 0.70.90 (KDE 4.3 RC3).

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
