Version:           amarok-1.86-1.fc10.x86_64  (using KDE 4.0.5)

Install Fedora fc10 ( 9.90.1 ). ( not kde vertion )
uppdate 

Install amarok. 
[floki@localhost ~]$ rpm -q amarok
amarok-1.86-1.fc10.x86_64

When trying to run amarok from gnome menu then first amarok pop up picture appears and nothing more.

when starting from terminal

Please upgrade to beta1, and see if the problem persists.

Also, without a valid backtrace, we can't really help you.

1.
I install FC10  alfa ( not KDE vertion ) 28.08.2008
Updadate all.
2.
Then install amarok.
Amarok is the only KDE application.

3.
start amorok from menu.
Only introduction pop upp window appers.

4.
traying to start amarok from terminal.

ok
Now with 
amarok-1.90-1.fc10.x86_64
it is possible to play.  
Amarok is running and possible to select song to play.
