Description Diederik van der Boor 2008-08-27 20:18:04 UTC
Version:           1.1 (using 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.0 (4.1 >= 20080722)) "release 27.1", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.11-0.1-pae

It is not possible to configure the mime-type associations from dolphin, like this can be done in Konqueror.

Preferably, I'd like to see this in the 'settings' panel or 'settings' menu.

It is possible already (Properties -> click on the "settings"-button), but I fully agree that this is hard to discover and also should be available in the settings menu.

Thanks for your understanding.

The main reason I've reported this bug is I wanted to change some settings for all video file types (e.g. have them all open in MPlayer for example). That kind of thing can't be done easily with the "settings" button in the properties dialog.

Should this report be merged into bug 151094?
