This is already in KMail. Select the folder holding the mails from the list. Select the "Folder" menu and then "Mailing List Management". I think it's quite different. I mean, you right, there is that to manage mailing lists. But how many normal users know that ? And how many of them would actually go there to unsubscribe from a mailing list (instead a click on the "spam" button which is right there when you read the mail)? I think that the possibility to unsubscribe directly from the mail (without go through the mail to search the unsubscribe link) would be a lot better, both for usability and velocity. What do you think? I think what you ask is "overkill" since most mailing lists have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of all mails and since the number of times you unsubscribe from a mailing list is relative small. What I do think _might_ be a valid feature request would be for KMail to automaticly identify a folder as containing a mailing list and somehow flag that folder as being a list folder (and fill in the mailing list management). > What I do think _might_ be a valid feature request would be for KMail to

Yes, this would be nice too :)
you'll be pleased to know this feature is in kmail-1.13.0 (kde 4.4.0) http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/1768/ right click on the header of the email - mailing list - all list-* functions. Please mark as done! Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding. Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2. |
