I'm using an i686 version of Ubuntu 8.04 with 2.6.24-19-generic kernel and ext3 file systems. I have been using nightly builds of KDE 4.x for the last two months or so, but I also have my old steady 3.5.9, which is what I'm using at the moment, due to some weird bug with one of the latest builds of 4.1.60 (couldn't get it started about a week ago), but the Dolphin bug I'm describing here has been around for long enough to occur several times on both of them. I'm using TrueCrypt 5.1a in its file mode with very strong encryption, don't know if that is part of the problem or not.

 However, the bug occurs when trying to either move or copy a file, which is bigger than four gigabytes in size. Dolphin starts the appropriate process very nicely, but when it hits four gigabytes for the destination file, it just plainly raises its middle finger with the prompted message box explaining Dolphin being unable to write into the destination file. I'm not sure if the bug occurs, when copying or moving in between two regular directories, but it surely occurs, when trying to move or copy from an unencrypted source directory to an encrypted one. As stated, I can't say if it's Dolphin or just some weird limitation with TrueCrypt.

 Anyways, I hope someone wiser than me would look into this one...

Do you have the same problem if you try to copy/move a file using shell commands?

 Confirmed. I tried moving the file with mv and got an error, stating: "File too large".

 Apparently it has nothing to do with Dolphin. Sorry, my mistake. Just some sort of glitch with kdelibs and/or TrueCrypt, I assume.
