Clicking on the "Searches" folder brings up the standard "Welcome to kmail" widget. It would be nice if one would be directed to the "Find Messages" widget in some way.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.

I moved to thunderbird long ago given that modern kdepim/kmail2 never worked for me, sorry.
