I have tried another configuration: * Public IP Address: my public ip * Port: 8010 * JID Proxy: empty and I mapped the port 8010 of my router to my local ip. File transfer still doesn't work. It doesn't work for me either, although it was working fine under KDE 3.5.10. Debian unstable, KDE 4.2.2-1, Kopete 0.70.2 Same symptoms here with KDE 4.2.2 and Kopete 0.70.2. However it works very well under Pidgin with the same settings, so it is not a configuration problem I guess. The same for me, kde 4.2.3, kopete 0,70.2, kubuntu 9.04. @albert : when you send a file to someone, his account has to be configured with it's public IP too or with a proxy. @Everyone : when you try a new configuration (change the IP address, the proxy, etc...), you have to reconnect you xmpp account before trying again. Do you guys still have that problem now with KDE 4.2.4 or KDE 4.3 RC1 ? hi, my kopete worked fine with file transfers on jabber in kde 4.2 series. Now i updated kde to 4.3 and with same settings it stoped working. When i try to send a file to someone i just show popup error with jid of user that should get file. No reasons, no help from error window. All is set right, it worked in 4.2. Maybe someone will ask how you set it, so ill write now: ip set to hostname from dyndns, updated automaticly by my router, port set to 8011, and forworded on router. mistyped: not hostname, but dyndns domain like something.ath.cx. Should be fixed in KDE SC 4.4 |
