There is no search box in Dolphin that would produce quick search results. There IS (under Tools) "Find File", which launches a search application (that does not work for me and didnt produce any results) and "Show Filter Bar", which filters directory view.

The "find file" now works. In the near future nepomuk+strigi will be available and functional on Dolphin (it already exists a search bar but it is being implemented).

@Peter: do you agree on closing this report being it developed, or do you prefer to close when nepomuk+strigi search will be completely implemented?

I think we should wait until KDE 4.4 has been released, as there we should have a search functionality which really works very well (the current search in KDE 4.3 is OK, but just a first start).

We now have a search box in Dolphin, so this issue is resolved :) Closing.
