Oops, please ignore point #2. It seems that I did configure Hyper incorrectly. (I didn't add modifier to the key in xmodmap.) So, it seems that KDE treats Super, Hyper and Meta *as the same key*. dup of bug 157468 ? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 157468 *** I don't think this is a duplicate of 157468. Hyper_R, Super_R (etc.) still show as blocks with 4.2.2 (unlike Meta & Alt), and do not function as modifiers (even if correctly set with xmodmap). |
Version: 4.1.0 (using KDE 4.1.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Hi. It seems that KDE's handling of Meta, Super and Hyper shortcuts is broken. 1) KDE doesn't see a difference between Meta_{R|L} and Super_{R|L}. These shortcuts do work, but to KDE Meta_L and Super_L are the same, they *both* show up as the same ,,Meta'' in shortcut configuration dialog, which is incorrect. 2) KDE doesn't handle Hyper_{R|L} *at all*. It treats Hyper as a normal key, not as a modifier, and it shows as a garbage (four rectangles) in shortcut configuration dialogs instead of ,,Hyper''. (Note: I've checked that I'm inputting proper keycodes with xev.)
