Description Eron 2008-08-03 17:12:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

changing the window background color does not affect non kde4 applications. this is with gtk-qt-engine-kde4 installed. That's more or less all the information I can think to provide regarding the problem, I'll be glad to check on any other info you might need. thanks :).

I'm confirming. This bug appears also running pure qt4 non-kde programs.

haha. I posted this months ago. I was getting antsy that it would just be ignored. hope it gets fixed soon. I've been settling with KDE3 until it does.

I confirm the bug on KDE 4.2.0 / Mandriva.

QT4-only applications do not follow color settings defined in the KDE control center.

The funny thing is the QT4 qtconfig program that says "please use the KDE control center to set the palette."

This bug still partially exist in kde 4.2.0, one of the colours frome theme still isn't applied to pure qt4 applications. It's on the screenshot. The color theme is set to default oxygen.

There is one other issue with colours in non-kde apps. After adding new user and running kde the default colour theme is set, but the situation as on screenshot http://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=31446 still exist. The fix is to change colour theme from 'Current' to 'Oxygen', despite that in pure config 'Current' is the same as 'Oxygen'. After that operation colours everywhere are the same.
