Description Torquil Macdonald Sørensen 2008-08-02 13:53:51 UTC
Version: 0.50.80 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.25-2-686

I have used kopete from KDE4.1 a few days now without any significant problems. But today something strange happened:

Even though I have configured two GTalk accounts in kopete, it now displays "Click to add an account" at the bottom of the contact list (The part of the window that appears when one clicks on the person-icon in the bottom right corner).

Looking in the preferences (the accounts section), there no longer seems to be any accounts configured. I have an Identity there, but with no associated accounts. But .kde4/share/config/kopeterc still contains the account information.

In addition, it is no longer possible to use Exit on the File menu (this problem appeared at the same time). The Configure... on the Settings menu works. The titlebar icon on the right works fine to quit.

Starting kopete from a terminal gives no error messages.

Best regards
Torquil Sørensen

Probably bug 167875, check if there isn't Kopete process runing in background if it is then kill it and everything should be ok.
