Version:           0.10.0-beta2 (rev.: 839714) (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          gcc

When you start digikam for the first time, or when you start it and deleted the digikamrc beforehand, no thumbnails are shown in album view. Clicking on tags view, you can see the thumbnails, and switching back to album view, they are also shown there.

I confirm this using a fresh installation of KDE 4.1.x (all work fine with KDE 4.0.x)...

Marcel, 

It sound like an init problem from AlbumManager.

When you start digiKam at the first time Album Folder view as no effect on icon view, but if you go to Tags Folder View all work fine. After if you back to Album Folder View all become fine...

I confirm (Linux and Win32). Marcel has fixed this problem in Album Manager (if i remember)
