Description Jon Rose 2008-07-28 14:42:02 UTC
Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.0.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If a player is moving a piece and accidentally moves it one more than he intended and immediately moved it back those extra moves should not count. This is a mental game, and the player had the correct idea in his head on how the piece should be placed; It just took him a bit longer to place it.

Likewise if a p[ayer moved a piece the "long way" (3 moves instead of 1 move) it should only count as one move since the player had the correct idea of how the piece should be placed. This also makes the game more accessible for users that have only one mouse button (mac users).

Obviously if a user moves a piece, stops moving it, and goes back and moves it, those are separate moves.

I agree with your first point. However it seems some people like the fact that you have to rotate in the "correct" direction. But I have to say that doesn't make too much sense to me and I understand your point.

To fix the fact that some people don't have two mouse buttons it should be enough to be able to use the keyboard even when in mouse mode (currently that isn't the case, but I plan to change that).

How about an additional skill level: 'Perfect' which is the Very Hard level as it is now, but the Very Hard level becomes the forgiving version as requested above?
