Description Thomas Zander 2008-07-23 15:05:16 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources

In KDE4.1-rc1 I was editing my profiles and noticed that the 'Edit Profile' dialog (so two dialogs on top of each other) blocks *all* my konsoles from working. I can't even select text anymore for copy paste.

I add this as a bug since the 'edit current profile' is non-modal.

Maybe redesign the 'manage profiles' dialog to avoid having two dialogs on top of each other by just having the profile data on the right of a simple list?

Confirmed for KDE 4.1 final, i.e. Konsole 2.1.
I can't change the version on your bug as 2.1 is not listed as an option. (hint hint)
Comment 2 Kurt Hindenburg 2008-08-10 23:03:40 UTC
Confirmed in trunk; I added Konsole versions 2.1 and update this report.
Comment 3 Dario Andres 2008-12-26 17:10:10 UTC
Here using:

Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.1.86 (KDE 4.1.86 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081221))
kdelibs svn rev. 901624 / kdebase svn rev. 901624
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

I can enter commands in Konsole while the "Edit Profile" dialog is on top and with focus.(so it seems to be non-modal now).

Can anyone else confirm this?

Indeed, I didn't notice it was fixed. Thanks for the comment!
