Hello,

It would be a great idea to have plugins for the following two translation aid systems: opentran [1] (an online translation database system that has the option to download the database); and apertium [2], an automatic translation platform with d-bus interface.

[1]http://open-tran.eu/dev.html
[2]http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/D-Bus_service_for_Apertium

I know that for gtranslator there are plugins for this systems on the way (one of the developers of gtranslator is also a member of the project where the kde galician language translation team is affiliated at), so it would be great to have the same functionality on the near future.

Kind regards,

Just an update to correct my bad naming: Spanish "traducción automática" becomes "machine translation" in English.

This functionality is still not present, but is usefull enought as to be implemented by both OmegaT and Pology, so I think this deserved attention.

Hello, I'm also interested in this feature, especially open-tran.eu integration. Any progress on this?

I agree that this could come in handy, although I would open separate wishes for Apertium and OpenTran.

Deepl has a free API, see https://developers.deepl.com/docs. Integrating this into the application would make working with translations easier. Currently you have to do this manually with the web interface and copy & paste.

Now we have numerous AI options including Ollama for local LLMs, this is becoming increasingly more important.
