the threading doesn't work correctly. it groups emails only by subject. if i have 2 different mails with the same subject they mails are mixed up. a new email was grouped with the other thread

You have "Thread Messages also by Subject" enabled for that folder, right?
Then KMail groups together mails with the same subject, which can of course not work with 100% accuracy, since it only guesses.
Or did something else happen? Please describe it with more detail.

yes i have "Thread Messages also by Subject" enabled. i will try to uncheck it to see what happens. i guess it groups mails with the same subject which is not a good idea if i have different mails with the same subject.
so i will disable it. thanks i didn't notice that option
