I'm trying to add the knewsticker to my desktop, and after I add it, my desktop/plasma crashes.

I'm not sure if it's relevant or not, however immediately after I add knewsticker I try to move it somewhere other than the default and it crashes right after that. I also tried to change the text color to black before it crashed.

When you report a crash you must paste the backtrace from the crash so we can make use of it and detect the origin of the crash and fix it.

Can you therefore install the debug packages from your distribution and get a useful backtrace that you will attach to this report, thanks in advance!

I'm marking this as resolved for now. I thought that all of KDE 4.1 RC1 was installed but more packages are coming, I guess Kubuntu wasn't done compiling everything. I'm going to leave this resolved unless someone else has the problem.
