Your analysis is quite right. Up to now any application trying to open the wallet waited at most 25 seconds for you to enter the password. This was due to the underlying D-Bus communication mechanism between eg. kmail and kwalletd which timed out. While this problem is not entirely fixed, KDE 4.1 RC1 now has a timeout which is increased to around 5 hours so this problem shouldn't occur any longer (at least not very often). Please try the upcoming RC1 release and send me a note if this bug is fixed for you. |
