Trying to open a standard 3 bands (3*8Bit) GeoTiff for viewing, it does not display.

It says ' Cannot display preview fo "b2.tif" '

Additionally, it does not accept geolocation editing.

Could you put the image somewhere to download, so that we can have a look
at it?

Currently tiff writing is not yet supported in the stable
versions, however, in the development version this is possible
since very recently, see
http://www.digikam.org/drupal/node/351
for details.

Best, Arnd

As Arnd sais, we need a sample image to test

Also, added gelocation to TIFF work perfectly with current svn implementation of Exiv2 (future 0.18), libkexiv2, kipi-plugins, and digiKam

I would prefer if you put it somewhere on a temporary webspace
so that it could be downloaded.
If that's not possible, then just send it to me and CC: to Gilles.

Thanks a lot, Arnd

Closing some old bugreports that are related to old digiKam version, and that have not received answers for two years now.

If you think the reports are still valid, feel free to re-open them, but please provide updates and do not just open them without giving feedback.

New digiKam 4.11.0 is available.

https://www.digikam.org/node/740

Can you reproduce the problem with this release ?
Comment 7 caulier.gilles 2016-07-15 13:24:54 UTC
With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary.
