notifications do not work at all

Well, set new feed or articles --> popup window, indication for taskbar entry. Add new feed, or get new articles. Nothing will happen (I mean there will be no notification).

Same bug here  with akregator on kde 4.1.3 (gentoo) .
Waiting for this to be fixed. or at least some workaround.

with kde 4.2.0 notifications work if akregator is started as stand alone, but if started from kontact they don't
