Version:            (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
OS:                Linux

From a usability point of view it does not make sense to have two have the sound notifications on different levels.

Rather than having:

- beep
- detailed new mail notification
- other actions
--- play a sound

There should be:
- sound to play
--- soundfile xy
--- beep
--- none

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
