Description H Aleman 2008-07-09 02:20:45 UTC
Version: KDE desktop the one available for downlaod on your site. (using KDE 4.0.5)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

downloaded from http://www.mandriva.com/en/download/free, Illinois and burnt tp dvd. Booted up to cd, ran the install after and gave me 9 desktops by default even though the desktop configuration says only one desktop. Tried changing rows to two and duplicated number of desktops. also it shows nine (9) desktops on the right bottom corner in a 3x3 formation that gets on the way and can't be removed.

By the way, coming from Windows world, I regret not having tried Linus before. Heck of a product.

just realized it is not a bug. If you go to CompizConfig Settings Manager, the number of desktops can be changed. I was trying to do it initially by using the configure desktop app and it wasn't working.

thanks
