This is too unspecific; we need the actual tuning parameters instead of "auto", because many cards don't support this "all-auto" config.
If your card can find all the parameters itself you don't need this file with 0.8.7 because there auto-scan should work for australia as well.

Comment 3 Daud Yunus 2008-07-18 00:22:23 UTC
by the way auto scan did not work
had at generate a file with w_scan first
Comment 4 Christoph Pfister 2008-07-18 22:17:24 UTC
this file doesn't help (because there is still -1 = auto present in the file)
you can use the attached application (compile it with "gcc queryback.c -o queryback"; then tune to one channel of each transponder and run it with "./queryback")
you need 0.8.7 to have VHF autoscan, as I said :)

Comment 6 lasse.k.lindqvist 2015-08-22 07:56:07 UTC
Use this http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Dvbv5-scan to scan your channels and then send the results to linux-media@vger.kernel.org

Let me know when this is done and Kaffeine source will be updated.

Comment 7 Mauro Carvalho Chehab 2016-06-06 00:42:26 UTC
As this is a matter of updating the dtv-scan-tables package upstream, I'm closing the bug, as it is actually not related to Kaffeine source code.

As I'm also tracking patches to dtv-scan-tables tree, I'll know if/when the channel files got submitted there.
