Version:           0.50.80 (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2), MS Visual Studio 2005 SP1)
Compiler:          cl.exe
OS:                Microsoft Windows (i686) release 5.1 (XP Professional)

When new message received and popup window is shown, the 'View' (or is it 'Show'? i don' know exactly since i'm using translated version) link does nothing but closes the popup window (as if it was 'Ignore'). So, no chat window is shown.
Bug is on MS Windows XP since about KDE4.0.73 or later/earlier.

On Kubuntu 8.04 the chat window is opened, but not in the foreground. KDE 4.1 RC 1

At least sometimes. Sometimes it works and the window is opened in the foreground. I cannot find any logic that predicts wether it will show or not.

Can't confirm that bug with exactly the same versions and compiler under Windows Server 2003.

Confirmed using kopete 0.5.80/kde beta2 on Windows XP sp2, using the mingw packages.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
