Sentry Crash Report:

Description Davide Ferrari 2008-06-30 11:43:19 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

How to reproduce:

- launch Kwrite (for example)
- open an existin g file
- click the "Save As" button
- now you have the filename already present in the location input line
- click on a folder in the fileview
- now the location input line is empty! you have to manually type the name of the file again!

Confirmed on week-old trunk build. This can be painful, for example in konqueror when the filename (extension) of a downloaded file is important. If you didn't memorize the filename when the dialog opens, then the work around is to click Cancel, start the "Save as" operation again, copy the filename, switch to desired folder, paste filename then Save.

Works for me at least from KDE 4.1 RC1+ from the OpenSuSE 11.0 KDE4 Desktop Factory repository, may be even in some versions before that, but I haven't checked this a couple of days. Thank you.
