when i have a message window opened and i got a new message i see a notification with links view and ignore, when i click view, it hides message window
next view clicking brings up that window (every second click means hiding)

It happens to me too. But even when the window is shown for the first time it's not really focused, you can't start typing until you actually click (or just put the mouse there if on follow focus mode) the window (feature?).

This also happens in opensuse 11 kde4 desktop factory repository.

can't reproduce this with suse 11 kde 4.0.99 kopete 0.5.80

problem described by Rui G. is different and should be in a different bug.

Seems fixed in Opensuse 11.0, kopete 0.5.80 . The problem I described was a consequence of this bug of course, since it's fixed on my end, doesn't happen anymore.

Can't reproduce that with Kopete 0.50.80 from Kubuntu packages.
