OS: Kubuntu Linux 8.04
Packages: Project Neon Packages - rev822807 (kde-nightly-kdebase)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add a Folder View applet anywhere on the desktop
2. Point it to any directory
3. Change the filter from * to any filter (e.g. *.png)
4. Close plasma (kquitapp plasma)

Result:

Plasma crashes.

I'll be providing a backtrace on Monday from an updated daily image to see if the problem still persists. Unfortunately Neon packages are built without debug symbols, so if anyone can confirm this bug and post a backtrace in the mean time it would be helpful.
