Hi George, please also update your kdeplasmoids4 to 4.0.84 since there was a binary incompatible change afaik and close the report if that fixes it. Thanks in advance. 4.0.84 isn't currently available from the SUSE repository, so I deleted kdeplasmoids4-4.0.83-1.2 to no avail. KDE still crashes. I suggest clearing out your .kde4 folder. It worked for me when Plasma was oddly crashing after a similar update. I suspect the bug is in fact that something changed between Beta 1 and Beta 2... Please read the following page and provide an useful backtrace for this crash : http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Also, mixing 4.0.83 and 4.0.84 packages may not be a good idea. yes, mixing such packages is absolutely a BAD idea. this crash is due to a binary incompat caused by that. |
