Sentry Crash Report:

Description Rafael 2008-06-28 01:40:32 UTC
Version: 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2) (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

When i am typing in a web, i cannot change the language spell check.
I open the context menu, i go to Check Spell.
Now a window is opened for replace wrong words, where also is available changing the language for spelling check.
I change from "es" to "en[GB]" or any other available.
I click on finish.
Now i see that the change is not being applied.
I open again the spelling check window and i see that language continues in "es" (espaƱol/Spanish), so it has not been changed.

I confirm this problem with Konqueror 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1).

And Konqueror does not respect the language set in systemsettings.
Comment 2 Miha Ulanov 2008-11-30 10:47:29 UTC
Confirm with Konqueror 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3).
Comment 3 Dario Andres 2009-01-06 15:13:58 UTC
Here using:

Qt: 4.4.3 + qt-copy-patches-889120
KDE: 4.1.87 (KDE 4.1.87 (KDE 4.2 >= 20090101))
kdelibs svn rev. 906436 / kdebase svn rev. 906436
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

I can't reproduce this bug.

Can anyone else confirm this?
Comment 4 Miguel Tadeu 2009-01-13 17:32:08 UTC
I'm confirming this on kde4.2 beta2. Both that is doesn't change and that does not respect the configuration on system settings
Comment 5 Dario Andres 2009-07-07 23:54:31 UTC
Still not working on a recent KDE version? Thanks
Comment 6 Damien Gombault 2009-08-03 20:57:22 UTC
The problem is fixed for me. I use Konqueror 4.2.98 (KDE 4.3 RC3).
Comment 7 Dario Andres 2009-08-09 17:59:50 UTC
@Rafael: can you check this ?
Comment 8 Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2010-03-06 15:43:57 UTC
Here on KDE 4.4.0 it does not "work".

But I think maybe it behaves like this on purpose?

Maybe the changing of the language in the dialog is suppossed to be only for a limited time and not permanently?
Comment 9 Martin Koller 2011-06-24 11:58:29 UTC
Works here with 4.6.4
