Version:           0.50.1 (using 4.0.5 (KDE 4.0.5), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

Shows only 8 languages, but have much more (english, for example)

It looks like your KDE installation is broken, the language names are taken from /KDEDIR/share/locale/l10n/XX/entry.desktop where XX is language abbreviation so you probably didn't install some KDE package.
