With upgrading to KDE4 Beta2 KNotify crashes immediately after KDE startup and than repeatedly after launching several applications. The following backtrace was produced:

Switching off system notifications in "Notifications -> System Settings -> System Notifications -> Player Settings" -- setting "No audio output" stops this behaviour, so this seems to be primarily a Phonon Xine backend problem.

But repeating KNotify crash messagebox a very annoying. I still leave this open, maybe there is a similar bug already reported for Phonon.
