I have chanee resolution to nonnative 1024x768 once and now I can't get rid off it on startup. I must change it again and again to 1280x800 after KDE restart.

KDE 3.5 is unmaintained.

If you have a similar issue with krandr(tray) from KDE 4, please file a separate bug (although we know there are issues with saving and restoring configuration).
