the bug is present in kdelibs 4.1 So the problem is that when you press the decimal separator button on the numeric keypad your keymap sends a "." to the app, rather than the "," that the app's locale was expecting? And the fix would be for the keypad to always return the decimal separator defined in the locale for the app that currently has the keyboard focus? The problem with that is I don't see how the keyboard handler can know what locale each app is currently using, it can only know the global locale at the time the handler started, which will be right in most cases but wrong in some. I guess there could be an option in the keyboard kcm to toggle this on/off. Not sure what Product/Component this really belongs under. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time.
