Sentry Crash Report:

Description humufr 2008-06-22 15:06:34 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

I tried to remove all panel but to keep some element on the desktop as systemtray but the widget stay empty in this case. When putting in a panel all the different icons expected appearded. Another remark most of the icons in sytemtray does have a square around which can be transparent it's seems. It's not very beautiful and a little bit strange with the other part of the desktop.

I just want to tell you great job KDE4.1 will be awsome and plasma is evolving in a very good way!I love it!

sounds pretty much like a duplicate of bug #164320 which was leading to crashes in beta1 and results in invisible icons on beta2.

re "transparent"; see bug #153193

I don't know if it's link to the other bug but it still not working. Using systemtray as an independant plasma widget (ie without a panel) I still can't see any of the icon I am supposed to have.

I was checking out the current system tray's behaviour on the desktop yesterday (with an up to date checkout) and found that the icons were being positioned in strange locations - it seems sometimes off-screen.
