Description Wolfram R. Sieber 2008-06-14 20:19:14 UTC
Version: 1.2.5 (using 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-8etch1 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-6-k7

Although Akregator is layouted like a mail reading program, reading feed news is more about browsing the web. Because of that, it would be nice if you could not only change the size of the several panes but also their location -- top left for example usually catches the most attention, while the bottom right gets the least. (At least in top-left to bottom-right reading cultures.) Forcing the table of content to the (top) left pane while allowing the main window for the news to become bottom-right only looks pretty pointless to me.

What about allowing for a different layout?

Yes, and d&d (among other means) to configure layout.

Hello,

I think in the context of this bug, allowing a similar option as the "appearance/layout/short folder list" option in kmail would be convenient.

Thanks.
