If I click on the KDE icon that activates Kickoff and then click on the desktop it makes Kickoff disappear, but if I click on the desktop a second time Kickoff comes back up, and if I click it again if disappears and again it comes back up etc etc, just a little glitch that is quite hard to find :)

this is a design flaw in QGraphicsScene's event handling, and as such is an upstream issue.
