Note: I have a Nvidia fx 5200 NVIDIA Driver Version: 169.12 Xorg :11.0 What's your CPU? Does the CPU usage change when disabling vsync or effects completely? My CPU is a Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHz My packages : Kde 4.1 beta for kubuntu If I disable desktop effect, the CPU usage is normal. Moreover, if I active desktop effect without "vsync" and "direct rendering" actived together, all is good. But if I active "vsync" AND "direct rendering", kwin takes 20% of my CPU. |
