i use powersave to hibernate my laptop. it hibernates ok (simetimes i need to try twice) but resuming is a problem. it takes 15 minutes before i stops swapping at it's usable again. it was much quicker on kde3

Please raise this issue with the Mandriva user support, as this is unlikely to be a KDE bug - KDE does not maintain powersave daemon.
