And list view too. *** Bug 212520 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** And grouped :). What's the usecase for that? The semantics of the folderview applet are different from those of a real file manager, hence this is a wontfix. Folderview is meant to be just a shortcut, whereas to perform file management you need to launch a full-blown file manager application. Usecase? Better overview. Continuity (my filemanager shows the icons the same way so I also want to have it in the folderview container on the desktop). Why should I want a folderview widget on my desktop if not for a quick overview of the files in the shown folder? So grouped view and/or list view seem more than natural... I strongly hope someone will invent an additional replacement folderview applet where I can have the text alongside the icons instead of below! And maybe even with grouped view... |
