Description Christian Boerner 2008-06-08 22:04:31 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          n/a n/a
OS:                Linux

I have to mobiles.
- Nokia E65 -> recognized by kbluelock
- T-Mobile MDA III -> not recognized -> kbluemon says it's a computer

I suspect most smartphones, pocket pcs etc are recognized as computers although they're portable and thus usable as locking device.
Please make devices of type computer recognizable by kbluelock (maybe with third column in device list which mentions the device type)

Patchfile for more devices

The file contains a patch which will extend kbluelock in kdebluetooth 1.0 beta
8 by several devices which are portable. Some may be needless but most will
not. Let the user itself decide which are necessary.
Patch is tested, builds fine and works at least for my devices. The keywordlist
is taken from bluez 3.3.0

Since kbluetooth is unmaintained (http://bugs.kde.org/270702) I am marking this bug as duplicate of the Bluedevil bluelock request feature.
