Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-06-07 22:32:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.4)

The current design is too much. Let's look at such "dead" cases:

* user clicks on radio button "custom"

or

* user changes (clicks) from "custom" to "default" (and custom button is cleared)

Please remove those radio buttons -- those serve no purpose at all. Instead add normal button "default". This button should not close the dialog (currently non-existing, in KDE4 is ~pane) but just change the value of key shortcut.

This way, every widget would have purpose and meaning.

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
