Description Dik Takken 2008-06-02 16:50:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Imagine a screensaver that looks like you're looking down from the international spacestation orbiting the earth: The surface of the earth slowly sliding across the screen.

Another possibility would be to equip Marble with a DBUS / commandline programming interface that allows the user to control Marble from scripts. One could set the position, altitude, speed and viewing angle of the camera ("down", "horizon", ...) and switch Marble to full screen mode, all from a script.

Hi,

Thanks for your input. At the current point of time however what we need most are people who implement the many things we'd like to do with Marble. :-)

Any help would be appreciated (we also need people helping with docs, etc.).
And if somebody decides to step up and implement your suggestion we'd of course help as much as possible to get the person started on the actual implementation.

Best Wishes,

Tackat

Closing this after all these years.

The wish to add a D-BUS interface actually got implemented early.
