Tested on r815560. I cannot reproduce this bug. I can only for the "Default Archive Settings" groupbox on the archive page. I updated to kdepim 4.0.82+svn819867 and the problem is still there. In KDE 4.1 all configuration changes I make are saved, except those related to archiving read articles. I can confirm this bug on my system as well (OpenSUSE 11.0), using Akregator 1.3.1 (KDE 4.1.1 release 31.3). Here is my investigation: (1) When you enter the Default Archive Settings panel in the config dialog, none of the 4 archive settings is selected (2) When you select Delete Articles Older than...(30 days), click OK and come back in the config dialog, same situation as (1) (3) I checked the akregatorrc file and it looked like this: [Archive] Max Article Age=30 (4) I deleted akregatorrc and started over again: No improvement (5) Had a quick check in the kcfg file and saw that the akregatorrc file should look like this (am i wrong ?) [Archive] ArchiveMode=limitArticleAge Max Article Age=30 (6) Added the missing ArchiveMode line, restarted Akregator. At least now I see that old articles are getting kicked out the archive. (7) Still then, if I change the Archive Settings through the config dialog, the ArchiveMode in akregatorrc is NOT updated and NOTHING is selected when I re-enter the config dialog. (8) The only thing which is correctly updated from the config dialog is the Max Article Age value. --- PS: Except for the Archive Settings, all the other settings ARE correctly updated in akregatorrc. Hope this helps. Link with bug #167749 ? Can't reproduce it in 4.9 Close it |
