I removed the sounds for all KDE sytem and window manager notification, but they are still played on window minimize/maximize, desktop switch etc. Very annoying, I want silence! :)

Doesn't system settings / notifications / system notifications / Player settings / No audio output do what you expect ?

That's is different. The question is: why does it play sound notifications if there is no sound notification assigned to the actions?

working here but after restarting the session. openSUSE packages for 4.0.80.
