I believe this issue is related to the akregator component, not to the newsticker. In fact, I don't even know what the 'newsticker' component is. :-} *** Bug 163727 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I've got the same problem in Version 4.00.98 (KDE 4.0.98 (4.1 RC1)) (Kontact Version 1.3, Akregator Version 1.2.50). I cofirm - with Opensuse11 factory repo Confirmed here. But you can configure akregator from the "configure Kontact" menu tought it is not unfolded by default like others. Yes, it needs some love before 4.1!! Created attachment 26479 [details]
Kontact (akregator) configuration
In KDE4.1 final, it is possible to configure akregator through Kontact, but the options are under the "Calendar" menu (see attached screenshot). I guess the config was copy/pasted from the calendar component but wasn't entirely renamed... :) For me it is working as it should now. "Feeds" in the right side menu in Kontact, "settings" and then "Configure Akregator", brings up the Akregator configuration dialog. However, then I hit bug 163040: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163040 I am closing this bug, because it works for me now. |
