When using the kio-slave applications:/ in both dolphin and konqueror, the menu structure of the applications shows up, but not the actual applications.

I can also reproduce this bug using:

I reproduced this bug on Kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex alpha 5, using KDE 4.1.1
Right now, my method of launching is through /usr/share/applications/kde4
Any suggestion for other good temporary solution?

You can recreate the applications:/ structure as real folders and put applications links in there.

I Know: It is a bad workaround.

It seems to be fixed on both KDE 4.1.3 and KDE4.2svn.(applications kioslave show the apps installed) Can anyone else confirm this?

Yes, for me ist works in 4.1.3 too.

Confirmed. Works in 4.1.3 and 4.1.80.
