Description Lukas Polacek 2008-05-28 23:39:58 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: 4.1.2
OS: Linux

I am reading my mail at work and at home (that's two different computers). At work I use kmail set up with IMAP. At home I use kmail set up with POP3. I leave messages 2 weeks on the server before deleting them.

When I check the mail at work and return home, kmail downloads all messages that are stored on the server (from the 2 weeks period) and marks them unread. But I have downloaded them already, so after this operation I have every e-mail younger than 2 weeks duplicated on the disc.

When I check mail via opera's IMAP, this doesn't happen - kmail doesn't download old messages from the server.

Actually Kmail should downloads from POP only emails which have not been already downloaded. Can you reproduce this issue using KDE 4.2 ?

KMail from KDE 4.2 works fine.
