Description Jiri Palecek 2008-05-28 01:30:37 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

The control flow warning has two problems.

1. It is shown when output is, in fact, not suspended. This includes using C-s in mc to search the pane, emacs search, turning flow control off via stty etc.

2. It obscures the konsole widget. This is a real annoyance, because that means you eg. cannot see the first line of text in emacs (during normal work). And C-q is special for emacs, too, so to get rid of it, you have to insert a character in the buffer - that's really brain-dead.

I propose making the widget optional, especially if 1 cannot be fixed.

I'm using Debian's experimental 4.0.74 packages

What's in the first line?

This is fixed in trunk (17/05/08). The control flow indicator is only shown if control flow is actually enabled in the terminal.
